Purple Hybrid , also known as the Purple 2, is the thinnest of the hybrid options and stands at 11 inches thick. It is firmer than any of the other models, and it is great for stomach or back sleepers. It is also the most affordable Purple Hybrid model.
The Purple Hybrid Premier (formerly Purple 3) is 12 inches in thickness with a thicker Hyper elastic Polymer comfort layer. This makes it feel a touch softer and it is around a medium-firm. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier 4 Purple Hybrid Hybrid is the most expensive Purple hybrid bed, but it’s also thicker (13 inches) and offers extra support. It has a medium-firm profile and would be suitable for all body types, just like the Purple Hybrid Premier 3.
Purple Hybrid Mattress Video Review
The Purple Hybrid incorporates purple detailing throughout the bed, a great touch for an avid lover of the color. The details in the cover give it a premium look, and you can tell it’s a bit more heavy-duty than the flagship Purple mattress. What does the Purple feel like?
It’s certainly not the same innerspring mattress that Grandma used in her guest room. This bed is an entirely new concept that I believe worked well for the company. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress firmness & Feel
No matter which model you choose, Purple Hybrid mattresses feel soft and airy but not like foam. Feel the squishy, squared shapes underneath the mattress by running your fingers along its center.
It’s barely noticeable when you lie down. It just feels buoyant, like you’re floating in your hammock or on top of your head. The thick layer of pocketsed coils underneath makes it very supportive.
Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously relieves pressure and supports, but has a slightly firmer profile. This Purple Hybrid 2 is around a medium-firm or 7 out 10 on my firmness scale. While the soft squares aren’t pushed into your hips or shoulders if you lie sideways, they don’t feel like a typical firm mattress. However, my back and spine feel reinforced by the Hyper Elastic Polymer layer. I feel it is a touch firmer that the Original Purple.
You might be interested in the Purple Hybrid, but aren’t ready to try out new bedding options. The Purple Hybrid might be for you if it offers a mattress feel that is both supportive and light on the hips, shoulders and back. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier
The brand’s two highest-level hybrid beds feature the same Purple feel. However, they have a slightly softer profile due to thicker layers made of Hyper-Elastic Pomer.
They are between medium and medium-firm. I would say they’re about 6 on the firmness spectrum. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress construction
The Purple Hybrid’s four layers are approximately 11 inches in height and has four layers. Below is a breakdown of each layer of the Purple Hybrid bed. This will give you an idea about what makes Purple and Purple.
A thin slab made of basic foam approximately one inch thick that supports the thick layer of pocketed coils above.
The mattress has a thick system made of 7.5-inch pockets coils. Each coil is individually wrapped in fabric to reduce motion transfer. This is the reason this mattress is so supportive.
A thin half inch of foam to help neutralize any sensations caused by the pockets in the bed’s base.
The brand’s Hyper-Elastic Polymer is approximately 2 inches thick, laid out in a grid pattern. This layer is what distinguishes the Purple Hybrid mattress from the others. Each mattress’s thickness varies. It provides most of Purple’s comfort.
Surrounding the edges are dense foam slabs to make the sides feel more supportive and sturdy.
Purple’s StretchMax Cover is on the top. It’s very stretchy, just as its name suggests. I think it feels more breathable than your typical mattress cover and compare the feel more to an athletic antisweat undergarment than a soft cotton top. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
The two Purple Hybrid Premier beds are the top-tier mattress options from the brand. The top layers are what really make the difference in construction.
Purple 3 has a layer 3 in. of Hyper-Elastic Polymer at top; Purple 4 has 4 in.
The Purple Hybrid is softer than these, although they don’t feel any different. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Motion isolation isn’t usually an innerspring bed’s forte, but with the pocketed coils and special material you find in the Purple Hybrid, it’s a different story.
I believe it’s quite effective at isolating motion even though it’s a super-bouncy mattress.
It makes almost no noise and you won’t be able to see your partner on the other side. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattresses have firm foam at the edges that will hold you up if your body tends to lean towards the sides of the bed.
As a result, I give edge support capabilities on this mattress two enthusiastic thumbs up.
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. It’s not designed with any fancy cooling material, but instead, the Purple Grid’s natural breathable design makes it one of the best mattresses for allowing airflow.
It doesn’t retain heat like memory foam or poly foam might, making it appealing to hot sleepers like me who need the additional cooling relief. Purple isn’t cold to the touch but I don’t feel hot sleeping on it. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Purple Hybrid’s perfect sleeping positions and body types
You wouldn’t expect to fit in every shirt size at your favorite clothing store, and you shouldn’t assume every mattress is accommodating for you.
There are many options. The best mattress for you will depend on your body type and the position that you prefer to sleep in. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Side, stomach, back, or a combination thereof are the primary sleeping positions. Purple Hybrid is recommended for stomach and back sleepers.
If you are a side sleeper, the Purple Hybrid mattress would be a good choice. These mattresses are slightly softer and less pressure-relieving than standard hybrid models, which will benefit your shoulders and sides more. Purple 3 Queen Mattress
Type of body
The Purple Hybrid beds are perfect for anyone, regardless of their body type.
Purple Hybrid mattresses work well for everyone because they offer more support than traditional foam beds such as Casper or Nectar. They are made with steel pocketed coils that sit on top of the mattress. This makes them more durable than traditional foam beds. This mattress will last 10 years longer than an all-foam one. Purple Hybrids are more expensive than original Purples. They also tend to be less affordable for those who need to spend as little as possible on a brand new bed. The Purple Hybrid is a good choice if your goal is to invest in your evening’s sleep.
The standard Purple Hybrid mattress is available in sizes from twin XL to California king. Prices start from $1,299 and can go all the way to $1.899. While they do not typically offer discounts on this mattress, they may have a promotional offer that gives you free sheets or pillows.
The Purple Hybrid mattress has metal coils encased in foam to offer support and softness.
